Best honey bun cheesecake, and strawberry shortcake cheesecake.. The chicken wings with rice and gravy is also my favorite!
My husband and I went for the Sunday buffet a few weeks ago, and it was very disappointing! Not enough food and the food on the buffet looked old. How do you have a buffet and bring out 6 pieces of chicken at a time? SMH.... No thank you! Please get some better service!

Good soul food and great service
The food was great! I had the fried chicken with mac and cheese and potato salad. Everything was delicious. The Potato salad was A1! You have to yet the sweet tea... it will definitely keep you on your toes!!! The staff was very friendly as well. I would recommend trying them out if you're in the Charlotte area
First time ever coming here, the food was amazing!!! I'm from Ohio, but I'll definitely be back to North Carolina, just to eat here again!
Came to Lawans because I seen people raving about the quality of the food on Facebook. We enjoyed our experience from the start. Our waitress was super nice and helpful. We all can’t wait to go back. This was our soul food dining experience. We surely didn’t think we could find “grandma’s” cooking at a restaurant.
Home cooking, large portions and great flavor. Has a nice expanded area with a bar. We enjoyed our dinner tonight. Good people.
I have been here three times I have enjoyed every experience here great music, great home cooking,great place to get drinks and unwinded after a long hard day at work. Great customer service everyone is so friendly. I love their peach crown mix.
