When I visit Charlotte, I always eat here because the food is wonderful!
I recommending everything, to be a northern BBQ restaurant it's sure giving Kansas city and southern restaurants some real competition and I'm a over the road black trucker meaning I'm all over the country and I stop at all restaurants dealing with soul food and hundreds of 4 and 5 star restaurants and review them from a black Trucker's point of view so trust me give them a try and tell me I'm wrong....... please

The food is good. Atmosphere casual. A taste of home cooking away from home.
My family and I went to La’Wan’s for the first time today and the experience was wonderful. We had mimosas in the new bar and ordered food to go. We met La’Wan and she has a wonderful spirit and so does her daughter Kiara. The food was great and will definitely be returning. We definitely recommend La’Wan’s.
I love going places and it feels like home. I stopped in today for lunch and had a mimosa and had a great conversation. The food is great and atmosphere reminds you of a family gathering.
