I recommending everything, to be a northern BBQ restaurant it's sure giving Kansas city and southern restaurants some real competition and I'm a over the road black trucker meaning I'm all over the country and I stop at all restaurants dealing with soul food and hundreds of 4 and 5 star restaurants and review them from a black Trucker's point of view so trust me give them a try and tell me I'm wrong....... please

I tried La’Wan’s last evening and everything, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-I-n-g was incredibly good! The atmosphere is very casual but the food and service are over-the-top great. Go here! Do not wait for a Panther’s game!
My family and I went to dinner there two years ago. I had recommended it after having their lunch buffet. The service was extremely slow. Food was like warmed over leftovers. Simply put: it was awful. I want to give it another chance but am afraid I'll waste my money.
Inconsistent service and food quality. Came all the way from AZ to get a bite of soul food was so hyped up and was totally disappointed. This was a completely different experience from the first visit. Was not very welcoming only one hostess was friendly honestly and the other was monotoned, brief, distant and unwelcoming. I haven’t had good soul food since the Soul shack. Lawans is the best soul food ever. Best home cooked meal I’ve had in years!
