I am very disappointed with my purchase experience at Laurel. I reserved a RAV 4 hybrid car at Laurel Toyota in early August with a deposit. The vehicle arrived 2.5 months later and from then on things took a different turn. The finance team created many road blocks for this transaction. They backed out without any legitimate reason. Took my 4 runner on for service because screen on dash said malfunction and take to dealership and so I did and was told gas cap was not tightened and they want to charge me $79 cause they had to put it on diagnostic machine to tell me this. I feel like Im being scammed. I did tighten the gas cap because Ive read about this before and the message still appeared and check engine light was still on so I felt as though it needed to go to the dealer for service!
good experience and they went out of their way to keep this car for me. But they just did not give me what my truck was worth according to Edmunds and wouldn't budge, so went with a dealer that did.
Took truck to them once, said I had a broken wire cost $209.00. Check engine light came on again. Went to them, they charge $84.00 for the diagnostic test. Said I have a bad cam shaft positioning valve. Ask what it would cost, $347.99. I said order the part, went home and being a back yard mechanic I googled it. I bought the part for $17.99 and it was replaced in under three minutes. Called to cancel and told them what I did and said their price was a little pricey. I found a vehicle I was wanting on car gurus and they contacted the dealership and a salesman named Scott called me told me to take pictures of my car, inside and out, the Vin number, tire tread, and any damage of the car I was wanting to trade. I was completely honest and showed him where there was a scuff on the splitter from scraping steep driveways which in my state is pretty common if you have a low car. Bought a new 4Runner from Scott Long & couldn’t of asked for a better experience. I would recommend asking for him if you’re looking to buy a new vehicle. The whole buying experience was done by email & he found me my 4Runner before it arrived at the dealer so I was guaranteed to get it.
They were professional and courteous, and were very prompt when providing information. Great service.
From initial contact to the end of the purchase I couldn't have had a better experience. Rob the sales rep was exceptional he was very open to all questions and we had extensive test drives to prepare me for the purchase I would recommend this dealership to anybody and especially Rob the representative who sold me my Nissan
