Have had several procedures done here, including admitted for a major heart attack, that needed triple CABG. Always had excellent care, from the doctors to the cleaning staff. The nurses are the best anywhere. The food, even the heart healthy meals, were the best I've had in any hospital, including other Johns Hopkins facilities.

On August 9, 2014, my husband was brought to this hospital, via ambulance, after a physical assault had knocked him unconscious. I heard the EMT's say they were taking him to "Bayview" but I had never heard of it, or knew that it was part of Johns Hopkins, until I saw the signs on the interstate as I was driving frantically to get there. My first thought was, "Oh, thank God, it's Hopkins!" with only minimal experience with the JHU health care services. They are the worst emergency room on earth. After sitting for 5 hours from the doctors office and it was 1 a.m. there were still 15 people ahead of us. Some said they had been there since 9a.m. the previous morning

Just picked up my 76 year old neighbor who had been waiting in the ER there for over 8 hours. She gave up and will just go to her regular doctor. I've never seen a wait that long. She's diabetic and she told them that - her own Hopkins doc had sent her there after her morning appt. She needed meds and food and got neither of them. Avoid the ER here.

I have been sitting here in pain for the the last 4 1/2 hours and does not look l will ever get to see a doctor. The pain in my stomach and back is so bad I can believe how bad this hospital is. I should have went to Harbor Hospital. But my new doctor is here at Bayview.
