Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

Great event staff. Friendly and well organized. Great location for music!
I always enjoyed going to JPJ, but recently purchased tickets to Trevor Noah concert. I could only see the right hand corner of the stage. JPJ staff refuse to refund. Just be careful when booking tickets because it doesn't say that the view is partial.
Live going to UVA basketball games. Outstanding experience with a top notch facility.
Nice venue for large crowds
Great place. I bring all of my friends here to show them what Virginia hospitality is all about.
A real dichotomy when it comes to staff/volunteers. Some couldn't be happier to greet and/or serve you. The others seemingly find you as an inconvenience for making them do their job.
nice size venue where the traffic moves quickly when exiting
Courteous staff....great show.
Chairs sucked but venue was good
