Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

Great facility! Not a bad seat in the house for basketball or concerts. The shuttle service is the most efficient system I have ever seen at an athletic event!
Great basketball venue and atmosphere. National championship floor and trophy displayed so all the fans can enjoy.
It’s really awesome all the time but especially when we beat Duke.
very large, clean and family friendly. basketball games have shuttles for far parking.
Wahoowa! Great venue! Nice staff. Lovely trophy area. C’villized fans. Quick at the metal detector entrances. The ginormoustron is cool!
