About this business
Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

Tight but much better than than the USO facilities in Nam, in the dirt. Stevie was incredible. I got more than expected...the Pretenders? Well it happens. I am sure Stevie had to work harder to please everyone. The music, lights, voice, showmanship and staff were a class act. Lots of good memories listening to her. Hope to see her again.
We didn't get to the venue until 6:50. Buying the parking pass really made arrival convenient. We parked just steps from the arena, and the line to enter the building was extremely short and moved very quickly, so we were quite pleased, until we were told that the Pretenders were not going to perform. They told us that we could get a full refund and not see Stevie, but a partial refund was not offered. This is unacceptable and unfair. My wife and I had a wonderful time :) Wish we could receive a voucher / rain check for no show pretenders tho but Stevie was worth it
