Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

We went to the Def Leppard concert... The concert was amazing. It totally sucked that we missed Tesla due to the worst parking EVER. We were staying 10 minutes away and we sat for an hour in front of the venue waiting to park. Then sat for 2 hours when we left... Also during the show we had a guy smoking a JOINT right in front of us and blowing the smoke up in the air like an @&&hole..
Everything went well; the staff was very accommodating since I was walking with a cane. The show was a blast!!!! 👍💜
My boyfriend and I went to see Def Leppard, Poison, and Tesla tonight. During the show we stood up like most people do during concerts. The guy behind us threatened to beat our asses if we didn't sit down. We didn't sit and informed the man that we paid just as much as he did to be there and had the right to stand up. He then called security on us and had us moved. We were put in different rows. This concert was an anniversary celebration for us. We didn't pay to stand in different rows. I went to the manager and complained ... read more
Terrible terrible traffic and parking. We ate dinner just nine minutes away from the venue. Yet, because there is only one way into the area, the traffic was horrible and it took us over 30 to minutes to make that nine minute trip. Because of this, we missed the opening number to Riverdance. Leaving was just as bad, sitting and going nowhere for twenty minutes before traffic even began to move. I can't say this with enough emphasis: I WILL NEVER ATTEND ANOTHER EVENT AT JPJA.
The chainsmokers rock i had a blast i had two beers went to ihop got a couple of shirts hat and wallet
