About this business
Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

Great venue for music & sports
Our third time here for a concert but definitely my last! The purse policy, the fact that there was no ventalition and it was unbearable because it was so hot, there were empty seats yet everyone was crammed together. This was the absolute worst ever.
Loved seeing P!ATD here! I wish the seats had a a little more room, I was nervous that I’d fall, the security people were super nice in directing where to go! But the workers inside were a bit sour, and a majority seemed to act like they didn’t want to be there in the first place.
