Opened in the summer of 2006 to replace the aging University Hall, the University of Virginia now holds its basketball games, concerts and other events in this 16,000 seat arena. Built almost entirely from a private donation, it takes its name from a former alumni, and not the Revolutionary War naval hero. It shouldn't be hard for fans to find, since it's right across the street from the old facility.

Will never return! It says small clutches online which I bought, but clearly the lady at the security thought the corners being outside the lines made it “too big” however several people inside had bigger clutches:/. My choices were to walk all the way back to the car and wait in the really long line or toss it! My 7 year old started crying so I tossed a $60 coach wristlet! After paying $360 for two tickets and driving over 3 1/2 hours that was a topper! Never returning!
we drove 8 hour from Ohio to attend an event.. my bag was smaller than the bags allowed.. my friend couldn't even take her wallet in.. we had to hide our stuff in the bushes because we ubered there.. luckily our things were still there when we left.. they have no liquor which was a disappointment..we was told which restrooms we could and couldn't use..you couldn't enjoy the concert without getting yelled at like a 3 year old every 2 minutes ..people pay a lot of money to see their favorite performers and it was just overall ... read more
It’s stupid that they make you throw umbrellas and purses away at the door. But not really a bad seat anywhere in the house. Parking is awful.
Warm beer and cold hot dogs
nice venue. saw hot wheels monster trucks live. great seats. great show. parking in the parking garage sucks getting out though. they let all the parking lot go first, so we sat for probably 30 minutes before we got out
Worst venue I’ve ever been to IN MY LIFE. Communication was so poor, their staff was so misinformed about their policies, they allowed special treatment (including cutting in a line of 250+ people) to some while threatening others with the police, and so much more. They ignored everyone’s concerns and completely disregarded everyone’s safety. Truly ruined my concert experience and I will NEVER return and I highly encourage people to never go there.
I went to the 21 Pilots concert June 9 2019. I was nervous because my 12 year old was recently diagnosed with epilepsy (after tickets were purchased) I checked with her neurologist and he said it was fine we could go. Well after the first song I regretted bringing her the lights were strobing non stop so I went into the lobby with her, and let my 16, and 14 y.o. stay. I have to tell you the RMC staff was unbelievably kind to us the older 2 decided if their sister couldn’t see it they would listen with us in the lobby. The st... read more
