On Oct 5th a insured by State Farms crossed over into my lane to get around a parked truck in his lane and his drivers door mirror hit my drivers door mirror. Their customer left the scene and I had to turn around to try to get him to pull over, which he did not after flashing my lights and beeping his horn. BEWARE - This company is full of thieves, beware. Mine was a business insurance policy, basically the agency kept telling me they are checking with underwriting, they are checking for months. Never confirming I have coverage. I go to another insurance company, then I get invoiced. When I refuse to pay-they have sent my invoice directly to collections.
I spoke to Matt from the IRA department today and I had the worst experience with the most incompetent agent I've ever dealt with. I also spoke with three other agents (two ladies and one gentleman) and I had no issues with them at all except for Matt. Matt was not knowledgeable about his job, and when I questioned his ability, he lied and then perceived to hang up on me. *Get a lawyer when dealing with this agency* State Farm is unfair in the way they assess claims and, in my opinion (and clearly others), unethical. I submitted a claim to them for extensive damage done to my vehicle by a driver of theirs. In this case I expected them to take their driver's side BUT i did not expect them to blatantly lie and suggest I take dangerous actions to do so. I have been a state farm customer for over 10 years. The end of feburary my home was burglarized. I put in a claim threw my renters insurance for items that were stolen from me. State farm has been a nightmare since. They sent an adjuster to my home who took pictures of my belongings. He intergated me at my own dining room table with a tape recorder.will ask you about your income, how much rent you pay, do you receive any assistance, do I work, basically telling me that since I'm black that I shouldn't be able to afford to h... read more
We had a homeowners policy that was just cancelled because we made a claim. One claim in 3+ years, and they state we are a liability. This company is a bunch of theives, and incredibly slimy. Will be going with Progressive, and never using State Farm again.
I have been insured by State Farm for nearly twenty years with, currently, two homeowners policies and three auto policies. I filed my first homeowner policy claim ever this past spring, 2019, for storm damage to the roof of my home. Their claims department was a nightmare. Their "customer service'' personnel were combative and obviously trained to ignore, very proficiently, their customers concerns and complaints. I would like to agree with some other reviewers that State Farm doesn't pay claims fairly. I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years. I've never had a major claim with them and the only claim that I filed with them in the last 10 years was to have a driver's side window replaced on my car after it was broken by a rock. State farm does not pay claims fairly. Police report of wreck states other driver made an improper left hand turn and was issued a citation. Police report also states I made no improper actions. The report also state a witness saw the wreck and said I had no way of avoiding the wreck. Yet state farms wants me to accept fifteen percent of negligence in the wreck.
