Beware! I bought a used car ($18,000 used car) and owned it for two weeks before the backup camera went. After taking it to the service department, they had advised me that this is not a warrantiable part and offered to work with me on the repair because I had recently bought the vehicle. To their credit, they did offer to pay for half of the repair, however, what ever happened to standing behind your product? Other than the warranty for this vehicle, this will be the last time I use Basil for my auto needs. Very sad service... read more

Terrible. They cannot back up their statements that they provided to a friend, GM discontinued the wiring harness on the 2013 Silverado, they said they would do their best to fix it themselves, which they didnt, then they ordered a used one and refused to put it in. And this all happened after their 5 month old truck started on fire. It's ridiculous, would never suggest going here. Terrible customer service also.

On April 11, 2016, the wiring harness and fuze box caught fire on our 2009 Chevrolet Silverado in our driveway. When we called our insurance company NYCM, they said based on our description the truck should be totaled but would send a tow truck to take it to Copart in Leroy to be appraised. More than a week later, NYCM called and said everything was denied, and that it was an electrical short not a fire. Worst service ever! They just really don't care. We have been waiting 2 months to have our xm radio and Bluetooth phone working and one of their techs stole my husbands credit card. Go elsewhere.

Since I didn't get my usual customer service call after my appointment I will let you know on Facebook for the world to see :) I do not recommend going for service at Joe basil Chevrolet (and this is coming from a past employee). I purchased my vehicle from here also, and that's how they force you into being a lifetime dissatisfied customer. I have to get my oil changed at Joe basil and pay 65 dollars each time in order to keep my warranty. With that being said, my 65 dollars goes towards the AWFUL customer service and time ... read more

Went into Joe Basil last night, was not planning to buy but open to it if we could agree on terms. We haggled back an forth, did not leave until ten PM!! I will say I was a bit surprised on what they did. We pick up my wife's new Equinox today, this is the 5th vehicle I have bought there since 2000!! Once again I am very happy!! The reason I only use Joe Basil Chevrolet! Now if Chevy only had free oil changes like dodge and Toyota !!!!
