Starting off with a $0.00 balance, my next bill was $400.00's!!!! When I called to ask why, I was told that it was because of "usage" and the "temperature getting higher". When I asked 'Am I getting charged because I've actually used that much, (because that's impossible) or am I being charged more JUST BECAUSE it's getting warmer and that's a great time to hike up our bills?' No straight answer. I mean $400.00's? That's more than a car payment. Someone needs to place regulations on this company.
Worst customer service experience. I do all of my transactions online, when I call needing assistance for a refund of my deposit, I'm told I cannot get my deposit back. I ask for a supervisor, There are no supervisors available. I'm told I will get a call back, lack of follow up. If I could change companies I would, may be that's the problem. They know their customers don't have many options for this service and so there is no need to be customer friendly or worry about the customer experience.
5 hour power outage on Memorial Day - 'really!' ... at least 1000 customers impacted
should be "0" stars. power out in my whole neighborhood, on Memorial Day, while I'm hosting a party. thanks for screwing everything up, thank you!
My husband and I moved from one apartment to another in December. We had to leave our electricity on for the entire term of our lease (which ended a at the beginning of January) so we called early to cancel it and told them the last day we would need the service. Here we are 6 months later and we get a call from a debt collector because we hadn't paid our bill. We called JEA to get a better understanding of what was going on since we had called to cancel MONTHS ago and all they could say was they did not have a record of us ... read more
No transparency, for a community owned utility the community it serves receives little to no honesty from this monopoly. There needs to be competitive pricing in place for consumers to choose from with economic plans that's conducive for consumers consumption usage. The way it's operated now the consumer have no choices the consumer is taken advantage of with little to no recourse. The consumer must accept whatever this utility does that effects the poor, disadvantaged and elderly more adversely than other consumers.
Can't seem to keep the power on in Atlantic Beach...multiple power outages with slow turn on time.
