Best Blonde Highlights – I highly recommend Janet Rufins Parlor! I have lived in the city for over a year and have been unable to find anyone capable of coloring bright blonde hair (either they made it too dark, or orange). I had tried most of the famous salons in Manhatten and still wasnt happy. It almost came down to flying back to the west coast to get good highlights! A friend recommended Karen at Janet Rufins and I have never been happier. She did a wonderful job, and it turned out exactly as i wanted it.
Making amends – I wrote a review about two months ago exclaiming over the quality of the haircut I got from Eugene and the color work Janet Rufin did, but complaining about sticker shock and the time it took to get this wonderful look done. I didn't know much about salons in New York at the time, and really mistook the professionalism and perfectionism of Janet's staff for coolness. I was wrong, and want to say so. Best Colorist in NYC – All I can say is WOW. Janet Rufin really is the best colorist in NYC - without the attitude! And the customer service is wonderful, so different from other salons I've visited in the city. incredibly talented – On a leisurely stroll around my neighborhood I was inspired while passing this incredibly cozy and chic salon(how did they mix the two so perfectly?). Luckily they were able to take me within a half an hour and i relaxed sipping wine, nibbling dried fruit and flipping through magazines. The Perfect Salon! – I happened into Janet Rufin's Parlor and have finally found the perfect salon! The color Janet created for my long hair is so glorious and so natural that many of my friends don't even realize I have it colored! Japanese Straightening - best in the city – I've been having this process done for 5 years now and Masako is the best in the city. She patiently works on each strand of hair ensuring that is protected and cared for. The salon itself is stylish, modern, and simple. The staff provided refreshments and offered help for cabs and anything I needed. Overall - highly recommend both the salon and Masako for japanese straightening.
Lovely salon – I had my hair highlighted and cut at this small salon about 2 weeks ago. I am very picky about my hair and after a previous bad experience at another "highly rated" salon, I was hesitant to try again. He is honest and knows his craft and what will work with your features. Not only do I look great coming out of the salon, but the cut grows in amazing. He is genus, and you can't go wrong.
