Casual atmosphere. Genuine people. – Love Janet Rufin's parlor. John Gerard has been cutting my hair since 2003 when he 'saved' it from the worst haircut known to man. I have followed him to 3 different salons, and Janet's is by-far the best! It is a very casual atmosphere, yet up-scale in feel. I don't feel pampered in a phony way - just genuine. great salon – i have recently started going to John for my haircuts. he came highly recommended through my sister. she was right. he does such a wonderful job on my hair. i finally found someone who i am happy with. i would highly recommend him and the salon in general is very down to earth and friendly.
Incredible personal service, never rushing you out the door – This is a really great salon with a really caring staff. Janet spent a lot of time discussing what needed to be done to make my color perfect, she even took the time to tell me the best shampoo and conditioner for my hair type. You never feel rushed, and the staff could not be more accomodating. I now get constant compliments on my color, and it looks healthier every time I go! If you want great color with personalized service, this is the place to go!
Great personal service – I absolutely loved my hair cut at Janet Rufin's Parlor. It has been over 8 weeks since I had it done and still looks amazing. It is very confortable place and perfectly located. Very happy to go back soon.
More than lived up to expectations – I went to see Janet after reading about her in Allure magazine and then reading reviews on citysearch... I have had good luck with Allure's recommendations before so was hopeful... The experience more than surpassed my expectations. Fabulous haircut! – Janet did an amazing job on my hair. She was very thorough, patient and gave me the best cut I have had in years. She didn't rush and took the time to make sure it was a look that was going to work for me. Highly recommended!
Travel from London to go to Janet! – Janet used to color my hair when I lived in NYC. 5 years ago I moved to London, England. Great for difficult hair – After years of varying success at many salons (including those for curly and other special hair problems) Veronica suceeded where all else failed. Her complete attention to all those problem wave patterns has given me consistanly great results. PLUS terrific color and they all could not be nicer. It's a lovely experience.
