Like other people have experienced, Dr. Schwender was my second opinion. He was very thorough with his diagnosis. And truly concerned about my condition. Dr. Schwender, also found the root cause of my pain. The other doctor I had seen had totally missed. I sure wish I would’ve gone to him first. I also like the way he explained things in layman terms. If I could give doctor Schwender six stars I would , he is that professional.
Dr. Schwender is very helpful in making sure you understand what your diagnosis is, and through to the surgery and follow up he's very professional. I appreciated that he listened till I was done asking questions. I also appreciated how quickly he got me in for a surgery.

First visit with Dr. Schwender re: my cervical spine concern. Excellent visit with someone who puts you at ease the moment he enters the exam room. Explains everything so well, and solicits questions throughout the exam. I walked out of the exam room extremely well prepared to take on my present cervical spine problem. And, I have the right physician to guide me through the process!
I have been dealing with pain for the last 9 yrs and from one visit with Dr.Schwender he noticed something that nobody else has. There's a issue with my spinal cord fluid. I have not come across a doctor that I feel confident about in a long time until now.
His straight ahead analysis of the problem was greatly appreciated. His recommendations seemed honest, clear and not sugar coated. I'm so glad he was my second opinion. He quickly became my first choice. He really seemed so knowledgeable.
I have now had 2 surgeries done by Dr. Schwender and I won’t go anywhere else. I recommend him to anyone I know who is having back problems.
