I I had back surgery with Dr Schwender in 2007 with amazing results 18 yrs later. When I had pain in another area of my back I saw him again. I am 5 weeks post op on my lumbar area. I am totally pain free, I know my results are excellent. He is very caring, listens and very professional. I am forever grateful for him and his team! I am back to my active living!
Dr Schwender is an excellent surgeon with a bedside manor that that immediately let me feel comfortable in the care plan he set forth for me. I am now three months past two level spinal fusion and have absolutely no back pain. Doctor Schwender very knowledgeable ,personal,and accommodating
Dr Schwender performed my back surgery at L4, S5 in 2022. When I was in recovery, I could not feel my right foot. He did additional surgery and stated I had developed a hematoma. 3 years later and I am still dealing with flop foot. Post appointments were only done at my request. Never did he or his staff reach out for follow up. Clearly this was an error made during surgery. He stated this has only happened 3 times in his career and was neglectful in my post op care.
