Dr. Schwender listened well and explained options to address my lower back pain in a clear and concise way. Having had two other spine surgeries with other providers, I waited until my insurance plan changed so I could see Dr. Schwender about my current back pain because I was impressed by his credentials, reviews, and experience. I feel confident moving forward with a surgical procedure under his care.
Dr Schwender explained my condition clearly, listened to my concerns, addressed my questions and together with me developed a plan to resolve my back issues.

I trust him with the quality of my life. He is extremely professional, skilled, and thorough. A very nice guy who makes you comfortable and explains everything. You know he cares about his work and cares about the impact of it on your life. I am so glad he’s my surgeon.

Offered to answer any questions I had and this reminds me of someone who has a stake in your health care very refreshing to experience that in a very fast pace of life. 20 years ago, Dr. Schwender successfully fused L 4-5 on my back. I returned to the Spine Center last summer after having recurring back and leg pain. Upon conferring with Dr Schwender last August and having surgery this past March, I have returned to a much improved quality of life. Thanks to Dr. S and his team for the wonderful care!
