I went to the Jackson Hewitt office in ********, **. to get my business taxes done. I went to the same agent I went to last year, *************************. I called her and stated to her that I would come and leave my taxes with all of the appropriate information. She stated that was fine. That was 3 weeks ago. I completed my taxes on 4/15/22 at the Jackson Hewitt located in ******* at **************** with Tax Preparer, *****************************. Whenever Ive filed my taxes, it takes about 1/2 hour to 45 minutes. It took ****************** 5 hours 45 minutes to complete my taxes 12:58 PM - 6:46 PM (time stamp from ****** Maps). He was extremely slow at no fault of my own. I had all my documents ready. He made several mistakes and had to go back to correct. Had my taxes done for the first time at Jackson hewitt and cost me *******. Ask them before they starting doing my taxes how much it would cost, said will figure it out at the end. When my taxes were finish I'll ask them and they said it's in the packet I said show me how much, finally she showed me and I couldn't believe the price. I've called Jackson hewitt multiple times and they will not call me back.

I filed with Jackson Hewitt *********** ********* in 2020 I told him it was issues and my ID was locked down I'm formed in that I damaged my devices could not access my email account they informed me that they would let me know if there was an issue with my taxes they only inform me after the tax season over and every office is closed when I finally was able to find out what was going on then go to idme.gov and straighten the issue out the ** in for me I should have my money the 26th of March after that they informed me that... read more

I sent the following to the local Jackson Hewitt office but received no response: My wife and I went to the Jackson Hewitt at the Wal-Mart in ***************, **. and feel we were totally ripped off. Our federal tax return was fairly simple since I am retired and there are only two of us. TV commercials have been advertising for weeks that the cost for completing a return was about $60 to $160. Can you give less than 1 star? I dropped my taxes off on a Tuesday at 1:00 with an appointment. After not hearing anything back, I called the following Monday and was told my taxes were being processed and someone would contact me to come in and review/sign by the end of the week. I received a call last night after 8pm saying nothing was done, my envelope was found in a drawer and its not their problem that nobody wants to work!!! What!!!!! We had our taxes done by Jackson Hewitt for the first time this year and what a costly mistake that was, we were quoted a price of $59 to $179 for our taxes. They never called to see if we had any other deductions which we did. The final cost for our tax return was $560 and that was allegedly with a 30% discount because i was a senior. also have to pay into state over $1200 , we have never had to pay into the state. they didnt explain anything as to why. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a tax service in my life. For one the employees will not work in your best interest because their integrity is compromised due to the incentives they receive. I came for a refund advance loan which was the worst mistake I could've made. The tax preparer ********************* from the office in ************, ** added an income to my taxes that I do not have which is fraud.
