One of many offshoots of the original Ivar's Acres of Clams, the Salmon House represents the Seattle institution's attempt at contemporary dining. Located in a replica Indian longhouse, the restaurant features salmon and meats alder-smoked on the open-pit Indian-style barbecue. The chef does best with straightforward seafood preparations. Great food, pleasant service but very slow and too many mistakes. I'd give it a second chance if we lived in the area, however. Great view of the water

July 2, 2017 My wife and I, my sister and her friend visiting from Australia decided to have dinner here. We arrived about 7pm and we were able to get seated right away via the open seating outside. We waited a good 20 minutes before we our order was taken. We figured we would wait an average amount of time. Our order finally arrived about 8:40pm, a good 80 minute wait.
