I went into iu west last Saturday in severe pain. Ended up I had a kidney stone. There was a little trouble getting my iv in plus all the screaming they had to endure. But my nurses were excellent. Kayla, kathryn, and geneva thank you so much for all ur help.
Currently a patient, came in Tuesday evening with a kidney stone and high blood sugar. ER was excellent. Moved to icu. Havent passed kidney stone. As of early wednesday morning bs was 213. Since they changed meds and iv hasnt been under 240 and ccurrently at 310. No doctor today, iv came out this morning. Sat in icu room (which they will charge me for) until a regular room is found. Im sick of it!!! Help!
Seriously, I would rather live with whatever ailment I have at the time than try to deal with their billing department (I’m talking months, here). I feel like they are intentionally trying to send me incorrect statements asking for money they’ve already been paid. Plenty of other medical care providers who can get it right...skip IU West and save yourself the future headache! �
Went in with chest pain, was changed to another room...sat in room for over 2 and a half hours with heart monitor not even plugged in!! No one checked on me, and took them 10 minutes to answer my call light!! Still having chest pains!! Horrible place!!
IU west hospital was one of the best hospitals I have been to, we were only there for two days for jaundice with our son. The staff was polite and friendly and rooms were clean and they actually take care of you. I probably wouldn't be still breastfeeding if it was for the nurses or lactation consultant there. My son has gained a whole pound in a week, still latching, and still taking couple ml of formula as subsitute when he doesn't get enough. So yesterday my rights were violated. What started as a simple trip to the ER for a migraine turned into an overnight stay in secure holding. Here’s how: During the initial intake you’re always asked “have you ever had any thoughts of harming yourself or anyone else?” I said “yes” as I suffer from MDD (almost all of you know this) and I refused to be ashamed silenced or hide. Props to the entire team at IU West!! Their staff made the birth of our baby Zoey extremely memorable in such a positive way!! Huge shout out to Kayla for working on her day off to deliver our baby girl! We could not have had a better nurse there by our side!!! �
