I cannot stress how much Ames Family Dental is the best dental practice in Ames. I originally chose AFD because Dr. Patten graduated from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry—which is very well respected. Their facility is top-notch, it doesn't feel sterile like a dental office, but their standards are above and beyond. Dr. Patton, Lori, and the entire staff truly care about their patients! Everyone is personable, professional, and they take the time to know you and listen to you. Procedures are explained fully, and performed with utmost attention to your care and comfort. The whole experience is extremely friendly and pleasant from beginning to end.
I always enjoy my cleaning procedure, because as I already said: Wonderful service by Jenny, careful inspection by either Dr Patten or Dr Cahill . My teeth are in good shape because of their care, help and sound suggestions. Thank you all very much!!!

We always have s great experience at Ames Family Dental. Dr. Patten has state of the art equipment and is continually educating his staff on new and better practices. The office staff is friendly and accommodating. Dr. Patten and his staff make the dreaded dental visit a pleasant experience. We highly recommend Ames Family Dental!
