They came to our house and spoke to my husband, which the bill is in my name only and they talked him into signing up. When my husband told me this I quickly researched them and thank god I called them within a half hour of him signing and told them to cancel. I told them they spoke to the wrong person and had no right to have my husband sign up for something that is in my name. I told them I will take them to court. They are suppose to call me Monday 4/23/18 but I'll be blowing up there phone first. I also told them that th... read more
Business response:
Tina- We're sorry you don't want to continue under the 3-year, fixed-rate plan your husband enrolled for. We love when consumers choose clean power over dirty energy. We have cancelled your enrollment and you will not begin service with Inspire. A Member Support Specialist left you a voicemail this morning confirming that cancellation. Please let us know if you have any further questions.
I got a nice competitive rate to sign up with incentives . My rates stayed for couple months (.11.-.12 per kilowatt) then spiked to .15 -.17 per kilowatt which had my bill 75$ higher .i checked the rates of other suppliers and most were between 11-and 15 ,17 being off the chart .I do not currently recommend signing up for service with the company.
Business response:

You're currently on our month to month, variable rate and we have fixed rate and flat bill, subscription offers also. If you would like to discuss further, feel free to return her call. If not, thank you for supporting clean power over the last year.
Yesterday (4/17/18) a man from inspire energy knocked on my door, which is in my locked and secure apartment complex where there is a no soliciting sign. How they got in is beyond me. He said hi and explained I should of received a notice about my PECO bill and how there is inconsistencies in my electric bill rate and how I failed to respond to notice on my bill. I received no mail about my bill rates and I was confused at first. He then asked for me to get my PECO bill so he could check it for me to make sure everything was... read more

Hi, Marie- I'm so sorry for your experience. I understand you emailed with our Member Experience Manager and we've captured your feedback. We have added your location to our internal Do Not Solicit list. Thank you for sharing your feedback.
I feel duped by the salespeople who made it seem like the electric company was wanting me to switch to Inspire as the source of electric. She said I neglected to respond to JCP&L request. However, it was not a request from JCP&L, but some kind of advertisement insert. I am all for the environment, but there was no honesty in the sales pitch. For example, the sales people should tell the person as soon as they meet him, that they are selling the energy and not that the person neglected to respond to the power company. In addi... read more

Hi, Christine- We're so sorry for your experience. Our Member Experience Manager reached out to you via email last week but has not heard back. If you would like to discuss your concerns, we would appreciate the opportunity to resolve the issue. Thank you.
So they come to your door with this predatory rate on electric telling you are going clean and you can get it for .065 KWH. Awesome. What they don't tell you is this is a month to month contract that once your month expires, literally your next bill. your rate will double or even triple. Horrible business practice and they never explain fully what their intentions are and how the business operates. Only 2 months with them and I'm already to another provider. Complete joke. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY THEY ARE TERRIBL... read more

Hi, Alex- We're sorry for your negative experience with our month to month, variable rate product. We do have a fixed rate and flat rate, subscription products that sound like they would meet your expectation. Our Member Experience Manager left you a couple voicemails regarding your review. If you would like to discuss your account, please feel free to return our call at your convenience.
Aughh Inspire. Sales rep comes to my door and tries to sell me on clean energy. I read over the terms on his tablet, while he lists all the reasons I want to go wind power and I mainly retained cost figures. I signed into a rate which was .0639 per Kwh. Alittle over my domestic charge of .0624 but I thought thats a couple bucks a month why not? Here's why not. October rate: .0639 per Kwh November rate: .0639 per Kwh December rate: .0939 per Kwh January rate: .1259 per Kwh The December rate increase cost me an additional $46.... read more

I don't know who these people are and I have never heard of this company. Yesterday I received a letter from PEPCO stating that I have chosen to switch to Inspire for the MD Electric Choice Program. I called PEPCO and explained I did not authorize any changes to my electric carrier, a note was indicated on my account and Inspire removed as a supplier. I then called Inspire and was told they were authorized by my daughter to make changes on my account and add Inspire on Jan 25, 2018. Mind you on 1/25/18 my daughter was in the... read more

Hi, Ms. G*****- We apologize for any confusion, but we did confirm your daughter enrolled your account with Inspire. We apologize if that was not your wish. We understand you spoke to one of our managers and they have resolved your concerns.
Someone came by our house from Inspire and showed us that they had a much better rate for wind-powered energy for our home. The rate was half of what we were paying, so we signed up. The rate is now 2-3 times what we were paying previously with another company, and our electric bill is about $1000 this month. I feel like we were completely scammed and people need to know not to sign up for clean energy with Inspire.
they promise to save the environment by using clean energy and they said the FIXED RATE was at 8.9% every month and 5 month later I call up JCP&L and my rate started at 8.9 in June, July it was 10.7% and by Dec, it was 13.9% and my whole house is Electric. When I signed up with them, the guy who came to the door, said "if you sign up now, in 2 months, you'll get a $250 gift card" 4 months later, I called up because I never got a gift card and they said "You are entitled to a $25 gift card." As of Jan 23rd, I'm off of inspire... read more
