On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. Amazing food and great entertainment! The service was awesome as well! We went 2 nights in a row! One of the best places on the boardwalk
I did not have a good experience there. Service was very slow we waited 15mins just for the waitress to come over and introduce herself. Ordered pork chops and they were very undercooked. Lasagna was cold and I ordered a side of sausage which came at the end the meal. I can safely say I will not return.
Excellent food, atmosphere, and wait staff, wish I could recall our waiter's name, great guy, the one from California.
Fantastic service! An ordinary Joe like me felt like a pampered VIP. The food was top notch too!
Food was outstanding but service was horrible. They initially sat us at a table for 2 and we asked to move to a larger table so we wouldn't feel so crowded. I guess this made the waiter mad. Other tables received dipping sauce for their bread, we did not, we asked for more bread and never received it although other tables did. We asked for extra sauce for the pasta since one of them was really dry which seemed to make him even madder. I had to ask for refills on my water every single time I ran out. Excellent atmosphere, awesome food and lots of fun.
Decent atmosphere, food was well prepared, tasted good and the staff was very nice and attentive... just found it a little pricey/expensive for the portions we received.
Great food and great service! We went there for our wedding anniversary and had a wonderful time. They had a gentleman come to our table and play the violin, it was awesome!
Totally recommend!!! Great local destination restaurant!
