On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. Always a wonderful restaurant!!! Steve and Billy make it an experience and Jim makes sure they all behave! Lol Seafood is always prepaired to perfection and the calamari was back on point!
We were there with a group of ten. Food wss absolutely great. However, the waiter was not friendly at all. He just did his job. It didn't seem like he wanted to be there.
Very nice service. Started out with bread and flavored oils, calamari, caprese salad... salmon with lemon butter sauce over linguine... cheesecake with raspberry sauce! Very delicious!

Still one of my top 3 favorite restaurants. The food is always wonderful, not overpriced, and the drinks are good. You can't go wrong here.
