On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. Il Giardino has been my favorite Italian restaurant in Virginia Beach since I moved here in 2004. Had an exceptionally great experience this evening for Restaurant Week. The food was outstanding, and our server, Jake, was personable, competent, and considerate. Always looking forward to my next meal at Il G’s.

The food here is so indescribably good. It is our favorite special occasion spot and a tradition for our anniversary. They catered our wedding 4 years ago and we have been loyal ever since. Tonight we had Jake as our server and he is one of the best we've had in the past 4 years!
AMAZING food and AMAZING STAFF! We have been fans of Il Giardino ever since they catered our wedding four years ago; and it has been our go to place for special occasions and our anniversary. Wonderful dinner at Il Giardino for a much needed date night. Highly recommend sitting in the bar area; they have an absolutely fabulous musician to entertain you throughout your meal. Jake was our waiter for the evening and could not have been anymore attentive and charming. Best authentic Italian I've had in Virginia Beach.
So delicious!! Jimmy White was wonderful! This was our first visit and Jimmy was so knowledgeable and patient with us! The menu looked fantastic, and tasted even better! The pianist was so entertaining, I couldn’t have asked for a better night. Such an amazing place!! Can’t wait to go back!!!
