On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. If you like to be moved in the middle of your dinner, this is your spot. We’ve loved the food here for years, but are so disappointed in the total lack of manners. Bright spot- our bartender, Natasha was fantastic. We won’t be back.
What a wonderful time I had. Food was fabulous, the service amazing, especially Minka and Natasha, the bartenders, the live music was great as well. I come here everytime I come to Virginia Beach.

Amazing food simply amazing, but the service is what made it the best. Chad our waiter was just a step above and beyond. You can go anywhere where the food is good, and have a bad waiter and not want to go back. This will be and everytrip visit from now on. Just wish there was one closer to home!
Natasha is the best! She was closing up when we walked in but let us sit down and served us with a smile and never rushed us. What a cool cool lady!
We came here for my son's birthday and were completely blown away by the amazing service, atmosphere, and,last but not least, the food!
Jake was an excellent waiter, overall pretty good place....
