On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. Not only was the food incredible but the servers were true professionals. Their knowledge and courteousness deserves huge applause.

We absolutely love this restaurant. I’ve never had a bad experience or meal. The service is fantastic I highly recommend it.
Great restaurant. Authentic Italian flare. Food was wonderful as usual, whether it was the spaghetti and meatballs or the special eggplant parmigiana my wife had, everything tasted fresh and was bursting with flavor. Our server Jake was on point and although was busy made us feel like we were his only guests. We will come back everytime we come to Va Beach.

I was recommended to this place by a very friendly gentlemen I met in our hotel pool and I am so happy I was!! The food was amazing, make sure you listen for the specials and order them because they were amazing!!! Definitely get the sirloin tidbit dinner and the mozzarella with roasted peppers as an appetizer a very nice variation of caprese! There is a lot of places to eat Italian in Virginia Beach but if you want great service, excellent Italian food in a very nice atomsphere this is the place to eat at.
