On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The pasta was amazing, the pizza was light and delicious, the atmosphere was spectacular and Molly, our server, was a professional! A great evening!

Literally my favorite place to eat in Va Beach. If you need a fix for Mozzarella and Pasta sauce, this place will get you high!!!! Local favorite. Molly is a good waitress too!
Fantastic!! Great diverse menu from appetizers, to salads, entrees, desserts and wine list. Service was top notch. Italian fine dining but the prices were not exorbinant. Best of all was the excellent authentic food. Delicious . Exceptional over all. Much better than any Italian I’ve experienced even in Manhattan. Go here if you are in Virginia Beach and love Italian.

First time we ate here, but won’t be the last! Our server Molly was awesome and very knowledgeable about the menu. I had the Chicken Marsala, which was one of the best versions I have tasted. The martini “Not Your Mama’s Apple Pie” tasted just like the most delicious apple pie you could eat except it was liquor vs pastry! My wife also enjoyed her meal which was a special called Natua that contained shrimp, scallops in a delicious tomato based cream sauce. All in all a great dinner.
