On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. Great dinner, didn't look like too much from the outside, but inside was beautiful. Food was great, son had filet and I had the veal which was delicious.
We've been going to Il Giardino since the kids were in college. They now have families of their own and my oldest Grandson is twenty-one. I remember, when he was five, they would let him play with a little ball of pizza dough to keep him occupied. This is the best Italian Restaurant in the area.
