On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. Great Waitress Really Good Food. Will definitely go again.
I very rarely use social media to express my displeasure over service especially restaurant service. Having been a server, front of the house, bartender, trainer etc. over the years, I give restaurants a lot of leeway. Wow, I went with some new found friends from a conference. Ashley Ann was a great server. My friends, all 4 of them got the fettuccine Alfredo, their favorite. They gave me a taste, oooo, it was so good. I had an amazing beet salad and a pizza. So wonderful.
Best restaurant ever! I have been dining there for 28 years! I live in North Carolina, when I am in the area you can believe I am going to dine at II Giardino!! Food is fabulous!!! Put this restaurant on your bucket list!!!
Went there and had Rockfish dish. We had an excellent wine to accompanying it.
Can't believe we haven't been here. It was Amazing. Loved it, kids loved Fettuccine Alfredo and normally they don't. Can't wait to go back. Wine list Amazing and Prices good for such a tremendous selection.
Too noisy. Food was good but you could not carry on a conversation at your table because of the noise
Excellent service, awesome food never disappointed when we go there.
Food and service was very good however the live music (man singing and playing piano) got to be very annoying due to the loudness. He was talented but his singing was just overpowering. It was hard to hear what the waiter was saying and made it virtuallly impossible to carry on a conversation at our table. Food and service is upscale and prices reflect that.
