On a trip to Florence, Italy in 1983, Il Giardino founder Tony Gargiulo saw a wood burning oven and knew it would be the centerpiece for the soon-to-open restaurant. The first in Virginia, our oven serves up fresh focaccia bread and pizza to order. All of our delicious menu items are prepared with the freshest and highest quality ingredients we can find. Inconvenient location, small portions, horribly overpriced. Alright for a tourist at the beach already but otherwise parking is impossible and costly. Keep your wallet closed.

One of our favorite restaurants! We really enjoyed the focaccia bread, fettuccine Alfredo with crab and the Salmon Il Giardino. Always delicious and excellent service. A true fine dining experience.
