Loved It! – Had wanted to go to the Icon for awhile and finally did tonight. Drinks in the bar and the wild mushroom pizza appetizer ~ superb! Dinner didn't disappoint. A little too much blackstrap molasses gravy on the meatloaf for my taste, but tasty nonetheless. My friend's fried chicken was to die for. Great side of Mac n Cheese. Request Greg for a server and get one of the best in the business! They should clone him...
Love Those Waiters! – I have been to Icon Grill twice and both times I have had great waiters. I wish I could remember their names... some of the best, most energetic waiters I have ever had are at Icon. The meal (for the price) wasn't that memorable - but between the wait staff and the crazy ambience, it is worth going!
why the new menus? – I dine at Icon Grill pretty frequently - the great service keeps bringing me back. But, at my most recent visit I noticed that they have a new menu design. Instead of the classy, printed daily, nice menus, they have been replaced with large plastic "Dennys" style menus with pictures on them. How tacky! It worries me - is Icon going down hill? I know it's minor, but bring the old menus back!
Tasty – My family and I spent my birthday dinner there- what a treat! So many Seattle restaurants to try and we picked the perfect one. Do not miss out on the Cajun Rock Shrimp Penne. Although it reads like standard pasta, it's one of the best dishes I've had in a long while. Everyone was picking off my plate! Deserts are a bit much, unless you're still very hungry, and the atmosphere is effusive and cozy.
Consistantly Outstanding – I've been to the Icon at least 5 times and have never been let down! The Pasketti is a favorite with the cheese-filled meatballs, the Wild Mushroom Ravioli and Cajun Rock Shrimp Penne are wonderfully flavoerful and filling. All three are can't-miss choices for pasta-lovers. The Smoked-Chedder Stuffed Chicken Breast with grits is an unexpected blend of sweet, smoky and salty but it is definitely worth trying. The atmosphere is fun and flirty, with the pink and red hues. And don't forget to use the b... read more
nice dinner – My daughter and I had 5:30 p.m. Wednesday night reservations for dinner. Our shuttle ran late. The restaurant held our table for us. I informed the waitperson at seating that we had only an hour to dine (theater tickets). She took care of our needs immediately. We both had the pecan pear salad (wonderful!). My daughter had the famous macaroni which she says was very good. The side of grilled asparagus was heavenly smoked al dente' with lemon butter drizzled over the top. I had the chicken skewered on rosemary b... read more
Very Sad – A friend of mine had raved about how great this place was so I was looking forward to having dinner at Icon Grill. I am sad to say but I did not have a good time. The service was REALLY Bad. Our server seemed to have better things to do. He always seemed rushed and that was when he did come around. The food was ok but not as great as I had expected.
eclectic fun! – My aunt and I went here for dinner. It came highly recommended by some friends. The food was absolutely delicious, the servers were friendly, and the atmosphere was really cool. Good times!
Artsy and Romantic – the minute i came into the icon grill, I was surrounded by glass blown art, paintings on the walls, a fabulous fountain, and jazzy soft music. we were seated promptly (due to the prior reservations). i especially liked the red light bulbs under most lamps. so romantic :) The waiters were freindly and positive, ours always came at the right moment. oh, and the food! i had the Potato Wrapped Fresh Halibut. There's a picture of it on the website. it was beautifully prepared and tasted amazing. The halibut s... read more
