The food was unforgettably bad – A group of 8 went here for a friends birthday. The atmosphere was fun and had a lot of character to it. The food, however was horrid. I ordered the mac & cheese. The cheese was watery. I did everything I could do to salvage the dish. I added salt and pepper. It was just plain gross (and I don't think I've ever used the word in my adult life!). The only one of us who enjoyed our meal was our friend who ordered the meatloaf - I guess you can't really mess that up too bad. Needless to say I will... read more
Disappointing – This place wouldn't exist without tourists. The food is mediocre at best. I ordered the fish tacos and they were actually a fish burrito, sliced in half diagonally, which baffled me...the fish was dry, the seasoning was bland. You can get better fish tacos at lowly Taco Del Mar, for a quarter of the price. Icon Grill is a lot of fluff and pretention, but lousy value and below average food.
Fun atomosphere – This restaurant choice makes for a fun night out. The food is above average. But what really makes it worth while is the style; it's fun for a drink or a dinner date.
THEIR DESSERT IS TOO GOOD! – I RECOMMEDED WHEN GOING FOR LUNCH TIME TO GET THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST CHEF SALAD. IT'S SO GOOD!! AND ALSO THE ICON DESSERT WITH THE CHOCOLATE CONE YOU GET TO CHOOSE YOUR TOPPINGS IT'S DELICIOUS. AND ALSO FOR LUNCH GET THE MEATLOAF SANDWHICH IT'S REALLY GOOD TOO!
Where else can you eat friend chicken on a white table cloth? – Have to say I love all the comfort food and the twists on it. Great Happy hour. Fun place for a date, with others or by yourself. Don't forget to try the Mac and Cheese and let's not even talk about the Chocolate Layer cake with a carafe of moo.
Fantastic presentation!!! – This is where you can truly taste the flavors of the food before you take a bite. The salmon cakes are fabulous. The blend of flavors will leave a taste in your mouth you will not want to ever leave. The ceiling glass and colors provide warmth to give your senses a delicious treat as well. We cannot wait to go back-with reservations, of course!
Bad food, confused decor – My wife and I stopped in, having just walked by while visiting from Boston. The decor is confusing and doesn't tie in with the "icon" theme, if there is supposed to be one. Both of our salads were bad in a cheap kind of way - tasteless with grocery store-style croutons. Our entrees, spaghetti and meatballs (warmed up chef boy ardee) and potato wrapped halibut (bland, buttery fish), weren't any better. We passed on dessert.
Bad! – Went here with 5 other coworkers for lunch. One of the first things we noticed when we sat down is one of our 6 wineglasses was very dirty. Of our six entrees, three people commented the food was not very good. Two others had the meatloaf, which they enjoyed. We also asked for an order of mac and cheese to share, and they brought out two, without having asked if we wanted more than one. When the mac and cheese was brought out, our waiter asked if we had ever tried it. After telling him we had not, he stuck a spoon int... read more
Good place for a night-out with friends – I've been to the Icon Grill several times and have almost always had a wonderful server who is attentive and has both a knowledgeable and warm personality. I highly recommend the ice cream sundae! It's a fun dessert that's big enough to share and your server loads it with tons of seasonal toppings such as fruit, M&Ms, roasted almonds and sprinkles. The crowning part of the dessert is the hot fudge sauce that is hidden in a waffle cone until the server lifts the cone out of the ice cr... read more
