When it opened in 1995, Hunter-Gatherer Brewery and Alehouse was the first of its kind in the city and is among the oldest South Carolinian brew pubs. That is because brew-pubs were allowed in the state after a law was passed in 1994. Its rustic-cozy ambiance is accentuated by antique light fixtures, African tribal decorative elements and wooden furnishing. Love this place!!! The pizza was wonderful and I love the porter. Highly recommend. Fun for a night out with spouse or friends and also a great place for kids!
