When it opened in 1995, Hunter-Gatherer Brewery and Alehouse was the first of its kind in the city and is among the oldest South Carolinian brew pubs. That is because brew-pubs were allowed in the state after a law was passed in 1994. RecommendedFood was good. Waitress was attentive (while very busy) and pleasant. Main draw was the jazz, which they had on NYE (as well as every Thursday). It was hot!
Great atmospheric and bartender was friendly and attentive. Didn’t care at all for the beer or the food.
The staff and management have always been special . The food is great and I particularly love jazz night

Awesome time at HG on Main Street. Burger and hash browns were full of flavor and really enjoyed the Oktoberfest and Brown Ale. Loved the concert as well.

Gave the HG at the Hangar a try since we loved the original DT location. The hangar is beautiful! They've done a great job with the "feel" of the place. The sign said seat ourselves. We sat at a table. We saw a bartender and servers walking around, but no one said a word. After 10 minutes we left....As we were walking out, 3 or 4 staff members were at the front desk eating pizza.
