They are the most unreliable tax service. I guess when tax season is over a lot of their stores shut down and theyre not available to you anymore. We were trying to finish up by picking up and paying our taxes. We were unable to have someone help us pay our taxes because for some reason the office that we were at could not take a payment. Worst experience ever. I dropped off the paperwork for our foundations form 990 in March 2021 (due date to file was May 15th). I never heard back from HR Block. I called in April to see if they had everything they needed only to learn that the office had been "closed for the season" and work had been transferred to another office. H&r block (Charlestown Indiana) has done my taxes for years, not any longer. I had a issue with the Indiana ***, saying I owed more taxes on my state return, the issue was a error in addition of credits. Upon calling h&r block for help, they literally would not help me. The women said I would have to take it up with *******. She actually lied to me stating that indiana, after the tax deadline changed the unemployment credit. Online Scam. Used the online filing service to file jointly with my wife. Hoping to e-file like we have in past years and use the "pay with my refund" option. That option was suspiciously not present at check out. We had to pay $145 up front. ***** was not ideal, but okay, whatever. So we got out our debit card, paid and clicked to e-file, then were taken to a screen that informed us we could not e-file due to the status of our filing. what?! Honestly if I can give 0 starts I would...as a former ******** for H&R Block I can honestly say I felt like you guys as a whole dont care about your clients or employees! I worked vigorously through this whole pandemic as a single mom for your company, even with a new baby, and I hit a burn out instead of your company assisting by seeing how you can help your employees build a better company for your clients you let us go and tell us because we are burnt out by your that we dont get our bonus that we worked soooo hard for du... read more

I had my taxes prepared at the H & R Block at *****, ****. My taxes were done incorrectly and received a notice from the Indiana *** stating my taxes were done incorrectly. had to pay the **** *** and the *************** Tax 2 times, and now have to pay the Indiana *** $73.19 in penalties and interest, instead of getting $351.00 refund. I could have **** up my taxes doing it myself instead of paying $265 to these people to mess them up. I feel that I should receive back some compensation for their mistakes.******* *.

I submitted my small business taxes to ******* ****** at the H&R Block at ******************************************* at 2p on March 12th, 2021. As of today on June 5th, 2021, he told me over the phone that he hasnt gotten started on them. I made an in person appointment for 10:00 AM on Apr 02, 2021 at the ********** **************************************************** H&R Block location. I showed up for my appointment at 10AM and ******** ******* told me that they do not do face to face appointments anymore and I would either have to do my taxes online or drop my taxes off for pick up later. This tax season was my first experience with * and R Block. I was very disappointed. First of all I was given an appointment with someone who was not a tax expert (receptionist) who was also not even there, thus my appointment was not honored. Needless to say this brought frustration and angst from the start. When I finally got in a few weeks later, after needing to file an extention, I was misquoted even though there are advertisements everywhere about "no surprises" concerning fees.I think the entire process was unethical ... read more
