Great music, great food – The atmosphere at this place is just great...the food is not the best but they have great choices for a chill, hangout place....not too expensive either...and if you are lucky, there might be a band performing so you can hear some great music when hanging out with friends....and you catch the Sunset scene as well

This is a pretty good venue. You feel pretty close to the stage wherever you stand. Unfortunately, there's not really any cheap parking around since it is the Sunset Strip.

True Blues at the House of Blues Restaurant and nightclub in Las Vegas – ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE! July 2006 My 40th birthday should have been at blast, but the House of Blues in the Mandalay Hotel in Las Vegas, managed to destroy it. First off, they knew a party of 6 would be arriving (called a week ahead) and tried to stick all 6 of us in a booth. Ridiculous! So after much discussion and waiting, they seated us at a table. We also waited a long time before the waitress came and took our orders for drinks, appetizers, and then d... read more

Live 'flashback' music, cheap drinks, fun people! – 'The Spazmatics' on Friday night play the sounds of the 80s and what a blast from the past! We had a great time dancing with other fun people. Not necessarily the place to go if you're looking to 'hook up' but for people just out there to dance and have fun, definitely a good choice! The drinks are inexpensive and the atmosphere relaxed. We liked it so much we went back on Saturday to see the deliciously goofy 'Boogie Knights'. There is an older crowd on Saturday nights but... read more

Best place to see a show on Sunset Blvd. – I've been to this joint for countless amount of times with countless amount of friends and the experiences was always amazing, from the start even being outside, to the great food, drinks, people you meet and all the way to the show. I was once invited up to the 'Foundation Room' (courtesy of Capital Records) a few years ago and the place was like a hipped out psychedelic room, very private and very reserved with food and you can mingle casually. Meanwhile on the main floor, it gets... read more

Riding off a name.... – It's good for out of town guests and all. Good acts play there too. But the seating is LACKING most of the time unless you pay tons for the upstairs balcony (way higher food and drink minimum qualifies you). Often you must stand. The food dishes sound good and homey but don't always live up to it. And the gospel brunch only has quasi gospel -it's not the choir and stuff you think you'd see. Not bad place, but not as great as the name implies either. Hipper than Hard Rock, inferior to Key Club.

A first-rate music venue wrapped in an explosive kaleidoscope of folk art. – In Short Designed to feel like a 19th-century theater, this venue features a balcony section that directly overlooks the stage: no binoculars required here. The stage and seating feel intimate, almost clubby, and the sound is excellent. With its steady mix of top rock and blues bands, the HOB runs the musical gamut, from Etta James and Al Green to Yellowcard. A full-service restaurant filled with Southern specialties and a piped-in R&B playlist comp... read more

More Like House of Rules – I'm sorry but I used to go to HOB in New Orleans about 10 years ago and it was fun. It is the most CORPORATE, GENTRIFIED venue with the rudest security and searches that are such a joke. What are these guys looking for? They made a girl with a tiny purse, empty out everything meanwhile it was chilly and rainy "They are like what's that, what's this? VERY RUDE ALL THE WHILE. Then they go over every inch of you for like 3 or 4 minutes. IF YOU WANT A CAVITY SEARCH GO TO HOUSE OF RULES. ME, I'LL NEVER ... read more

Ok place for a concert, but don't park there... – So I went to see a concert there, and it was pretty good. They let us in with plenty of time etc... If you drive, find anywhere else to park. The valet parking is $15 bucks. If you do park there with the valet, CHECK YOUR CAR BEFORE YOU DRIVE AWAY!!!!! They were in such a hurry to get everyone their cars and going, that I didn't check my car. The next day I found that they backed my car against a wall and scratched up the bumper. I called the valet service, and there is nothi... read more
