Oh them Blues... – Damn. This is a sweet place to catch a concert. I saw the Los Lobos concert here and had a great guided tour. Everything about this place is amazing. The decor, crowd, dance floor, bar and service. I had a blast here, and would definately go again. The dress code was everything from jeans and a nice shirt, to the classic little black dress. Every one was comfy and had a great time. Parking is a pain, you'll have to go to one of the lots that charge about $10-15, so count that into your budget. Other wise, ... read more

It's The Something at the House of Blues – I came here for lunch once and never came back again. I had the shrimp po boy and was I disappointed. It lacked flavor--not to mention shrimp. My friend was also disappointed with her dish--lacked flavor, texture, freshness, etc. If you want some real cajun/creole/southern food, stick to the Gumbo Pot, Bourbon Street, or Harold and Belle's. The atmosphere was all right, somewhat contrived. But then again, it is a chain.

Not Worth all the Hype – Sure, sure we all know that the house of Blues is supposed to be cool. But what is so cool about a place where drinks aren't cheap and you always have to wait for performers. I went to a concert there once that was supposed to start at 7:30. After the 2 openers finally did their sets and we waited another hour before the headliners came on it was 10 when the show I had payed for actually began.

Good Food – The food isn't quite as good as the Sunset location, but it's still one of the better deals around Downtown Disney. The shrimp appetizer is always a favorite, as is the buttery sweet cornbread it's served with. If you're looking to save a little money, just order a few of the appetizers and split them, though the Louisiana crawfish is a hard entree to pass up. The drinks are good, and when you're done eating, see if you can make your way outside to the patio for people watching.

blues rocks – This place is huge and alot of fun! You will never need to worry in your drunken state where the bar is because they have bars all over the place! there is an upstairs and downstairs (which could be bad if your drinking alot). There are so many people here and the in house band is pretty cool you'll probably end up on the dance floor an stay there...

Great Place for Live Hip-Hop – I've seen a bunch of great hip-hop concerts here! Each time it get's better and better! I recommend getting there early for an event, otherwise you will be at the back of the club on your tippy toes trying to see the act perform.

House of Blues – This is a great place to catch one of your favorite artists as you will be hard pressed to be very far from the stage. The drinks are good an worth the standard LA price tag and the restaurant there was surprisingly delicious. A great one stop shop for dinner, concert and post-show partying.

HOB nobbing.... – Well, I was invited out as a guest of my wifes friend, we went as a couple of couples. It was an afternoon gospel breakfast after church. The pre-show stuff was ok but wearying; however, the teen-chorus choir was outstanding, a great group to have there and very inspirational. The placed was too packed, the lines were quiet long, yet the food was somewhat memorable. I enjoyed the company of my guests.

Great location – The venue itself is pretty good. There is a lot of great acts that perform at HOB. You can see some of your favorite bands in an intimate setting. Parking is a nightmare so I wouldn't recommend parking there. Food is okay. The menu selection isn't that great.
