Rip off – Went here to see a concert. Concert prices were very reasonable. Word of warning DO NOT PAY FOR A TABLE!! We got asked in line if we wanted a table for $150. 50 for the table and 100 of drinks. We asked if there was room for all 8 of us and were told "yes". Once inside we see that there is only 4 chairs. The service was terrible almost to the point of being rude. And since she had our credit card we were not "allowed" to order from the bar, only from her. I love this place – This place is great. I went on a relatively slow night and the crowd was cool. there wasn't a performance that night, but there were still enough people around that made it a pleasant experience. The drinks were less expensive then i expected, always a plus. that meant i got to drink a bit more and stay in budget! :D
Not the best place – So I went to go see one of my favorite bands not to long ago and the security there is down right strict . I was seriously scarred to have fun because at times it seemed as if though the security was just kicking people out for pitting and the bands were even encouraging the people to do so and my god they overprice the beer . I hated my stay I don't think I will return anytime soon .
The House Of Rules – I am a professional musician. Performing on stage with a major act doing an hour and a half show to a full house afterwards I packed up my horn and looked for the bar to have a taste. I am told by this women security girl to go out to the outside patio to order a drink, so I did. GOOD TIMES – I always come here when I get bored of just staying in at home. Great music and love the atmosphere.. Great way to get a little stress out of your life form a hard work week.. drinks are flowing and people here are awesome. Good spot to go with friends and let loose!
SEXIST, RACIST, PIECE OF CRAP OF A PLACE! – I also had a bad experience there. The security was very rough and grabbing me wherever they could considering that I'm a girl. They kicked me out because i got shoved and accidentally bumped into one of the securities. I told him how I didn't do ANYTHING but he had NO RESPECT for me. I payed 25 dollars to go in and just completely got ripped off! I was seriously considering filing a sexual harassment suit against them.
THEY KICKED ME OUT BECAUSE SOMEONE PUNCHED ME IN THE FACE!!! – An intoxicated chick PUNCHED me in the face with her fist, and when I complained, they KICKED ME OUT. Even worse, they let the assailant stay inside. They are SEXIST, PREJUDICED, GUILTY OF OBSTRUCTING JUSTICE and ACCOMPLICES TO CRIMINAL ASSAULT AND BATTERY. Live Music and Great Food! AWESOME combination – I am always excited to get "Two for Tuesday" concert tickets from HOB online because it means that I will be having the Voodoo Shrimp LOL I enjoy the food at the restaurant at House of Blues but I only come here if I am attending a concert. The service is always very friendly and mindful of you getting out and downstairs on time for the event.
