Professional Clean Friendly Awesome
This is my go to for anything piercing related since I moved to Pittsburgh. The artists here are so friendly, extremely helpful, very accommodating, and super knowledgeable. They offer a wide selection of jewelry, can custom order things from some of the best companies, and even anodize jewelry right in the store. The entire staff was awesome with my seven year old who wanted her lobes pierced. Will was incredible with her: talking her through everything and asking her before he touched her each step of the way. She is thrilled and has already told me that for her next piercing (😂 cause she’s seven!) will be at Hot Rod
I had something wrong with a lip ring from a different place. I came here and they fixed me up and got me a glass stud for an upcoming surgery. Any piercings I have in the future I will come here.
I swear by this amazing business!! They have done my rook and my tragus and have also taken care of any issues Ive had. Wonderful down to earth people who treat you like the family the moment you walk in! Jerry, Tanner and Sam have always been there to save my ear piercings and give me wonderful service! And should I add their remodel of the south side location is AMAZING, I will go no where else!!
Will has done my vertical labret, philtrum and nose piercing and has done an amazing job with all three. Everyone is very friendly and the studio is excellent, very sterile. Thanks guys :)

I have gone to hot rod in the past and had great experiences but yesterday's was by far the best. My family walked in and was immediately treated with amazing service. William Scott pierced my helix, my 9 year old daughters ears and my 14 year old sons lobe. Sam and William handled my chaotic family with ease and were amazing with my children. I recommend Hot Rod to everyone and will recommend William specifically in the future. Can't wait to come back !
Excellent experience having William pierce my daughter’s ears on her 5th birthday. She didn’t flinch and was so happy with her new jewels. I would recommend Hot Rod to anyone looking for a piercing! William made my daughter feel so comfortable throughout the process.
