Went for the first time yesterday and was highly impressed. The food was so good and filling. The kid who sat us could use a course in customer service but our server was great. Definitely going back soon.
Always great.... Texas food at it's best...now the only problem I've got is that the review must be fifty characters.
I would like to point this restaurant-row institution out to the world as an example of what "American food" is supposed to taste like. Introduced to me by a former neighbor, almost a decade ago, Hoover's has become a favorite spot for special occasions, and one of my 2-3 favorite "stuff yourself good" destinations in Austin.
