We had the misfortune of having a car accident in Austin last week on the way home to San Antonio from Dallas for a funeral! We literally had to take all of our luggage in tow as our vehicle was un-driveable and were dropped off at Hoovers to wait for our ride home. I hate leftovers! That being said, I just finished my Hoover's leftovers for lunch, and dang if it ain't still the best Chicken Fry ever! Seriously. Introduced my fiance to one of my favorites this weekend, and now it is OUR favorite. The food was perfect, the margaritas were even better, and the service is the best I've had in a LONG while. (Thanks, Ron!) I can't wait to go back!
Food was amazing! David was a great server, the bartender was nice too! However the ghetto birds, a rude hostess and busboy, at the front made my experience less than great. Every customer should be greeted upon entry, especially if they are hanging up front doing nothing.. Back to the positive: Ah-MAZING food!
What amazing Texas "comfort food", and great service on top of that. Loved it and will be back for sure!!!
