I had been craving a good ole fashioned chicken fried steak for sometime. Having been to Hoover's In the past I remembered how great their food was. I told my husband we are going to eat at Hoover's today. Never been disappointed!! Also had to get dessert (blackberry cobbler/ice cream..amazingly great❤️������great customer service!!
Love ❤️ me some Hoovers Home Cooking! It was a great taste of home when I lived in Austin TX! Then I moved to San Antonio and found one there too! WooHoo! I used to be a mailman in East ATX and delivered Mr. Hoover's mail all the time and he's one awesome guy!
I tell you what! I've found THE restaurant that I'll visit each time I go to Austin-Hoover's! Awesome chicken fried steak with green beans, butter beans and mashed potatoes. Great, friendly service too!
I've been a regular customer for at least 12 years. My favorites are the fried fish, mustard greens and fried okra. My favorite servers are Ron and Nicole.
Such good food. Very large portions. Amazing sides. Try the Sweet Potato Cheesecake if you can!!!

I loved dining there, I went with my nana for a late birthday dinner. The waiter knew so much about the menu and I loved hearing about it all. He was very kind and very attentive to me and my grandmother, even when she was flirting with him. He flattered her. I knew she enjoyed the evening too because when she left I could have swore I saw a younger version of my nana smiling as we walked to the car. Thanks for the great experience!
