Love Hoover's!! The atmosphere is as good as the food, and that's saying a lot! Home-style cajun cooking, great veggies and bread all served by the friendliest staff. You have to try it.

service was awful the wait was ridiculous the drinks were so salty i had to send it back the floors were dirty the food was half inedible the biscuits and corn bread arrived promptly at the end of the meal gack no no no no no there's so many OTHER places in town to go, pick ANY of them
Our waiter tim or tommy whatever his name was .was horrible all he did was take our order and we never saw him again.. someone else brought out our drinks and our food..he never came to see if everything was ok ..which it wasnt ..we were missing sides ..bread..drinks..and gravy ..we had high hopes for this place we came into austin from corpus christi and san Antonio for a day trip yesterday ( jan 1st)..not again

This is the best soul food in Texas. This was BB Kings favorite place to eat in Austin.

The food is AWESOME and the customer service was GREAT...It was my hubby's birthday and they gave him a cozy celebration. Mr. Hoover himself came and took photos with us.
