Has the best chicken fried steak and collard greens!! Oh and Mac and cheese
The best down home cooking I've had in a long time. Our waiter Anderson was awesome and very helpful with selections.
This food was delicious! Everything on this menu sounded good and what we ordered treated even better! Prices were negotiable and service was amazing!
The food is always good and the service is excellent we even ordered an entree to go back to San Antonio. I used to work for them many years ago I think it was about fifteen years or so when they open the restaurant on San Pedro I only lasted about a month I think didn't know what I was doing as a waiter LOL but I knew that the food was always good we love driving to Austin to eat there once in awhile.
first trip to Hoovers (well, through Favor) and I was very impressed. The wings "appetizer" was far more than I expected for the price, and were amazing. I ordered the fried catfish and was very pleased with the breading to fish ratio, just the right amount. Got the mac and cheese (no big deal) and potato salad (WOW, and I'm a snob with potato salad) sides. Needless to say, I have lunch for work in my refrigerator. I'm anxious to visit the restaurant, so I can see it, in person.
Love these frozen margarita. Love all the veggie sides. Prices are great.
I had an awesome experience at Hoover's. Very nice owner. Very good food. Everything smoked is amazing, even the cobbler.
