ridiculous high rates and deductibles, after paying the monthly premium I cant afford to go to the doctor because of the high deductible.
All this posting looks good, but how about patient care? My friend has 2 clavicular lesions that the ultrasound calls suspicious. Why don't your approval people read google, see all the bad things it could be and approve the CT scan.
High monthly payments with hardly any coverage. How is this okay?
Highmark along with all other health insurance companies continue to make patient care top priority. they put providers and patients in a position to constantly jump through hoops for medication and medical services. i am completely disgusted with our healthcare system!!!

Highmark does a horrible job communicating benefits remaining. While using a lifetime benefit I was told repeatedly I had funds remaining. Only to find out months later that I had gone above the funds available by nearly $9k even though I called and verified benefits were still available prior to every visit to the provider. Even now when speaking to them I am told that I have benefits remaining despite them being exhausted over a year ago. Constantly rejects my humira order from my rheumatologist.. because it is a few days early with the script! I have gone back into a flare up because of this Ins. company..what is the matter with you? Do you think people take these inj for fun? side effects are miserable..but a flare is unbearable.It isn't like this medication is a narcotic ! Get it straightened out!
My oncologist needs CT Scans to determine positively if I have Multiple Myeloma or not. I quite possibly have 2-3 years to live, and yet I have been waiting a week for you to approve of these necessary tests! When one could have an incurable cancer with a projected life expectancy of thirty months, a week or two is a long time to wait for approval! Quite frankly, your company stinks! Thanks for nothing!
