Hey, remember the consent decree that UPMC signed with Highmark? What they neglected to tell anyone in the happy news story is that A LOT of Highmark plans are not included. So if you have UPMC doctors, you are no longer covered and have to see AHN doctors or go to St. Vincent, a hospital so bad the parent company has to force you to go there. Highmark is a worse company than Time Warner and that's saying a lot.
update: missed my call due to a meeting however via DM was able to get info I needed and some extra support in covering a procedure. I take back my 1 star! Just spent 20 minutes trying to get an answer to a question...the best they could do was an automated call back TOMORROW AFTERNOON. I pay you how much again?

There was an error with a payment and without notification they cancelled a plan that was obtained via the marketplace. Highmark has the ability to reinstate but are refusing to even allow an appeal process. Appeals process through marketplace does not look promising. No one at Highmark had even the slightest suggestion for how to fix this. All over an error. This is positively absurd.
The Medicare advantage plan sucks! I’m sorry I ever signed my father up for it and as soon as I can he’s going back to regular Medicare!
