I was recently hospitalized for a pulmonary embolism or blood clot in my lung. I was transferred from a small community hospital ER to a bigger medical center for direct admission for a higher level of care and put on a heparin drip for 4 days...my claim was denied due to not being medically necessary. I fail to see what's unnecessary? Did you want me to do my own heparin drip at home? Or just stay home and die?
they discontinued 'in network' status to Spiritrusrlutheranat at Utz Terrace & this affects 7 neighbors; who are now searching for new coverage. I'm certain there are others that I don't know about planning on cancelling their coverage also.
